  • What is Padel Liga?

Padel Liga is a league-format competition in padel, where players compete in a round-robin system. Points are awarded for each game, and the final ranking determines the winners. The league takes place throughout the season, allowing participants to compete regularly.

  • How to become a participant?
    • You need to register on the website, specifying the country and city where you want to participate in the League.
    • After registration, you will see the available leagues in your region. To participate, you must pay the entry fee, after which you will gain access to the league’s games.
    • Entry Fee: Players pay to join the selected League and become part of the club.
    • Seasons: Club members compete individually (not in pairs) in a championship that lasts 3 months.
  • Match Registration
    • Players purchase match tickets on the website https://www.v7padel.net/book/.
    • Men’s matches take place on Mondays from 18:00 to 20:00.
    • Women’s matches take place on Tuesdays from 18:00 to 20:00.
    • Registration for men is open until Thursday at 12:00, and for women until Friday at 12:00.

    Playing Matches

    • Where: Matches take place in various clubs. The locations are determined within 24 hours after registration closes.
    • Format: Registered players are grouped into leagues of 4 players with the same rating. These 4 players play 3 matches, each against one another.
    • Schedule: Leagues, match times, and locations can be found at https://www.v7padel.net/matches/.
    • Stay updated: Due to possible player cancellations, match locations and times may change. Each player is responsible for checking the most up-to-date information on the website.
  • Match Rules
    • Duration: One session lasts 90 minutes, during which 3 matches are played in the order specified on the website.

    Game Rules

    • Matches are played in one set up to 6 games.
    • At 40/40, a golden point is played.
    • Players switch sides after the first game and then after every two games.
    • If the score is 5-5, the match continues for two more games. If the score reaches 7-5, the match ends, and the final result is recorded.
    • If the score is 6-6, the match goes into a tie-break.

    Tie-break Rules

    • Start: The tie-break begins when the set score is 6-6.
    • Serving:
      • The first server (chosen by the team) serves once from the right side.
      • The serve then switches to the opponent, who serves twice (starting from the left side).
      • After that, the serve alternates every two points between teams.
    • Side Change: Players switch sides after every 6 points (e.g., at 3-3, 6-6, etc.).
    • Scoring: The first team to reach 7 points with a 2-point lead wins the tie-break. If the score is 6-6, play continues until one team gains a 2-point advantage.
    • Winning the Set: The team that wins the tie-break wins the set 7-6.

    Additional Rules

    • If there are less than 20 minutes before the third match, it is played as a super tie-break up to 10 points with a 2-point difference.
    • Unfinished matches count: The team with the most games won is the winner. The same rule applies to the super tie-break. However, unfinished points (e.g., 30-15) do not count.
    • Match results must be entered by one of the players in the “My Games” section of their account immediately after the match ends.

  • Ranking System
    • Fun Padel Club uses a rating algorithm based on the Elo system, commonly used in chess.
    • Potential Points: Before each match, teams are assigned potential points, calculated based on the combined ratings of the players and their opponents.
      • Winning against a higher-rated team earns more points than beating a lower-rated team.
      • Similarly, losing to a lower-rated team results in a greater point deduction.
    • Bonuses:
      • Attacking bonuses are awarded for a win with a margin of 4 or more games.
      • Defensive bonuses are given for a loss with a margin of 2 games or less.
      • The bonus is 20% of the match’s potential points.
    • Rating Updates:
      • Earned or lost points are added to the player’s rating.
      • Ratings update after the match results are submitted.
    • Leaderboard:
      • Players are ranked in the leaderboard based on their rating.
      • Ratings update weekly when match results are recorded.
  • Match Cancellation/Forfeiture
    • A player may cancel a match and transfer the payment to a future match if they notify no later than 72 hours before the match starts. Otherwise, the payment is non-refundable.

If a player cancels less than 24 hours before the match or does not show up, they receive a warning:

      • The court fee is non-refundable.

      • The player must reimburse the ticket cost to the three other match participants, as the match cannot take place without them.

      • Two warnings = exclusion from the current League.

      • Each player is allowed to substitute themselves with another player only twice throughout the league in case of force majeure.
